Who am I?
My name is Heaven Lee Murphy! I am a graduate of Prairie View A&M University. I am a resident of Sunnyside Houston, Texas and I currently serve as an instructor at my alma mater Worthing High School. I have a deep interest in education and the advancement of today’s youth especially in low socioeconomic communities. My goal has always been to strive and help students achieve the best version of themselves and also reach their full academic potential inside and outside the classroom. I pride myself on having a unique gift that enables me to not only bridge students to their next goal but to relate to them in so many aspects. Educational advancement is very important in our communities and I believe it is my goal to spread wisdom, resources, and exposure to each student that I can help.
Continuing Colts Scholarship
IThe Continuing Colts Scholarship is a cash scholarship awarded to Worthing Highschool Seniors. The scholarship is to aid students with the funding of post-secondary school education, trades, and/or entrepreneurship.
Career Exposure Project
Heaven's Neighborhood provides network opportunities and exposure to different career pathways. Students are provided opportunities to connect with professionals that have already advanced in their career choice. This allows students to gain wisdom in various career fields and receive step by step advice that would help the maximize achieving their goals.
